Service Description
Experience the original, evidence-based, 8-week mindfulness course developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Masachusetts Medical Centre in 1979. This live, online program consists of 29 hours of direct contact teaching time. • Eight weekly classes lasting 2½ hours. • One full silent retreat day of 7½ hours. The course runs online for 8 weeks on Wednesday mornings 10:00-12:30 from 25th January through to 15th March. The silent retreat day takes place between weeks 6 & 7 on Sunday 5th March. Learn to access and reinforce your natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself and others around you. Meet challenges with greater attention and clarity and gain tools for reducing the stress in your daily life. Connect in real time with others seeking greater balance, ease, and peace of mind. This program is accessible for everyone; participants come from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences to share in common insight and inner wisdom. Attendance on this program requires a commitment to attend all classes and to practice daily and complete light homework during the program. The daily requirement is 45-60mins, 6 days a week. If you are unable to attend more than two classes, I recommend that you consider doing the course another time.
