Mindfulness is a state and a process that promotes awareness and clarity of perception by paying attention to the unfolding of experience in a kindly way.

Crucially, mindfulness is a trainable quality. Practising regularly with sincerity and integrity can engender adaptive, healthier ways of being with difficulty and stress, and reveal the richness of life, moment to moment.

Arlene is in her third year of a five year Master's in Teaching Mindfulness-Based Courses, and delivers Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) classes under supervision, online and in person. Once complete, she will also hold a Certificate of Competence in Teaching Mindfulness Based Courses and will be registered with the British Association for Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA) which promotes and maintains standards in Mindfulness-based Teaching and Training.
